During third term, students will have work time in our Clinic, working with the public, to gain experience with a variety of real-life treatments.

Anatomy (the study of structures of the body) and Physiology (study of the functions of the body), this class will go deep into terminology, body systems, vocabulary, how these systems function, and what influence this all has on massage therapy.

Kinesiology:

This class takes a deep look at the mechanics of human movement. Covers ergonomics, range-of-motion, common injuries, various treatments for injuries, appraisal of joints and the muscles that move them. Palpation exercises and model-building help move the student forward.

Incorporated throughout our classes, this is the study of disease (origin, conditions, symptoms), and how they relate to massage. Covers disorders, vocabulary and treatments.

Business Practices/Ethics:

This class covers professionalism, client practices (intake, charting and more), record-keeping, licenses, permits, hiring/firing, billing and marketing. Also involves study of the ethics of Professional Massage Therapy. Includes section on applying computer technology to your practice.

Ancient Chinese Medicine/Ayurvedic Medicine:

Unique to our school, the study (in depth) of these two ancient modalities gives the student a remarkable foundation to build upon in their future practice. The student will gain a firm understanding of the meridians of ACM, and the concepts of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, to better serve and help heal their future clients.

All of our classes include lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice.
